DTRT--Don't LOL @ Cyberbullies!

YKW? It's SATURDAY!! Woohoo!! Hope you all R having a gr8 weekend so far! Whether you are LOLing with your BFF, snuggling up with a great book (or movie), or just hanging out with your family this weekend-- This is a day to rejoice. Y??? Because This is the day the LORD has made. Let's rejoice and be glad today! (Psalm 118:24)

Sometimes we get sooooo busy and caught up with exciting weekend plans that we forget to take a few minutes to praise God for another day.. another chance to enjoy friends and family.. to make new friends.. and of course, to make a difference with our WORDS (Proverbs 12:18)!  I know, I know. We've been talking about that a lot lately, but it is sooooo important that we understand what God's Word has to say about the power of our words.  It's simple.  They either "build up" or "destroy".  That IS some powerful stuff, gf!!  That's real GIRL POWER, so keep your eyes open this weekend for any and every chance you have to "build up".  And don't let your inner "mean girl" out to play.  Think b4 you speak!

Ok, so I'm sure you're wondering what's up with all the text lingo?!  Am I right?? We learned @ our Internet Safety Workshop this week that Proverbs 12:18 also applies here in cyberspace!  Words have power whether written or spoken... it's all the same!  So, don't play the gossip game! We have to DTRT (Do The Right Thing!) whether online or F2F (Face to Face).

As a MOF (Matter Of Fact), it's easy to get caught up in  gossip..lies.. and mean girl moments online, which is also known as cyberbullying.  When you aren't F2F, sometimes it's easy to forget that the PPL on the other side of the screen are real!  They have REAL lives... and REAL feelings.  And "reckless" words are REAL to them.  They hurt just the same.  When you're online, think B4 you IM.  Make sure you're LOLing about the right things.  Make sure your TXT lingo is appropriate! And if your friends invite your inner mean girl out to play, just say "L8ter" and LOG OFF.  And of course, if you're the one that's being bullied-- Don't Buy The Lies!  Believe in yourself and not what others say about you.  Your value is in Jesus!  He treasures you, gf!  Don't ever forget that!!

If you're thinking "OMG! I've never thought about it like that B4"  Well, now you know.  The question is.. What R U going to do about it?  Follow the crowd.  Or follow God?  As always, it's YOUR choice.  Tell me about a time that you've chosen to follow God and not the crowd (leave out names and personal info). Well, girlies GTG~TTYL~ and LYLAS (for all my little sisters in Christ!)  Keep ROCkin!!  :) :) :)
